Smiles and Laughter

It is always sucrebhecca.comh a joy to see how the love of God poured out through ordinary lives can bring a smile to the face of children and adults for that matter too! This is the ongoing reality of what we are seeing in the lives of our little sisters who are living in our Mercy Home in the Eastern Hills District of Andhra Pradesh. My father was brought to tears when he was joyfully greeted by all the girls upon his arrival.

The girls enjoy learning, playing, and just being kids. Of course being girls, they love adorning their hands with henna mehndi. Colouring hands or feet with henna paste or mehndi is a popular practice in India and other countries. Ladies and girls adorn themselves with artistic mehndi designs for every occasion like marriage, parties or even for school and work.

Someone has rightly said: “You cannot impart, what you do not possess.” How can a loveless and joyless person, ever hope to enable someone else to know love and joy? They simply can’t do it or at least effectively. That’s why all of us who are involved with Little Sisters are so grateful for Timoti and Lydia who embody the love and joy of God and extravagantly lavish it upon all they meet – especially our little sisters in India.
