A Special Day Out

All of our children from the Victory Home were taken to Hyderabad for medical check-ups.  For some of the children, this was their first experience to travel on a train. So, we decided to make the trip a special 1.5 day excursion.

Once the doctors examined all of the children and gave them free medications for their various conditions, we spent a few hours exploring some sights around Hyderabad, which is the capital city of Telangana.  It was such a joy to see the excitement of the children soaking in everything we were able to experience during the day. They really enjoyed being able to eat at a restaurant, which was the first time for all of the children.

By God’s grace each of the children, although born with HIV/AIDS, are doing well and we are so very grateful. Here are some photos of the day!

We boarded the train at the Srikakulam station and headed southwest to Hyderabad over 7oo kilometres away (12 hours)

Once we arrived in Hyderabad, we boarded a bus and went straight to the doctors for our early morning appointments. Each of the children were given a Certificate for being so good through the process and to let them know that they are physically doing very well.

Once the check-ups were completed, we boarded the bus and enjoyed a packed lunch on our way to a nice water park.

It was a beautiful time with the children and the highlight of course, were the playground swings!

At the end of a very full day we shared a meal at a restaurant before boarding the train for the long trip back home.

Thank you to those who faithfully support these children each month.
