Victory in Young Lives

The young people in the Victory Home are experiencing some of the hope-filled victorious realities of what Christ has accomplished through your faithful support and compassionate concern for their care. In 1 John 5:4 we read: “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”

It has been such a joy to see these children come to a saving faith over the years. This saving faith implies love and that love enables them (us) to overcome the difficulties that are involved in living a life for the glory of God. The life and power of the faith God produces in the human heart produces great effects.

These young people have not only believed that God is for them, they are learning to embrace all that He is for them in Jesus Christ. They are learning to treasure Jesus above all things, even good health without needing any medication like ART.

As you know, these children were born HIV, for which there is no cure. However, because of medical advancements, they can now live long, active lives with HIV. Each of the young people below are taking a regular course of ART (Antiretroviral Therapy) drugs that are uniquely tailored to their own physiological needs.

Javani Hari Krishna

Hari Krishna is promoted to 8th Class, and he is doing well with his studies. He has a great interest in mathematics.  Though he is very small in stature, he is very active in class. He is older than his class children because he has stayed at home for couple of years due to his health.  Presently, he is doing well with his health and he has been taking his medication regularly.  He is enrolled for the free distribution of the ART medicine. He is now living with his uncle and would like to continue his studies. We periodically meet him and every month he receives nutrition and also medicine. The Indian Government has allowed us to collect his medicine on his behalf and hand over to him.

Dunga Sair Kiran

Dunga Kiran is doing his technical training (ITI) in house wiring and electrical work. He will be finishing his training next year, and afterwards he will be posted to a company to learn the work practically or he will need to choose a senior person to work with him and get certified.  He is doing well with his studies. His uncle’s wife used to feed him and now they are not interested to provide him food, so we provide all the necessary things.  He owns a small house which he acquired from his father and he is fully an orphan.  Now he has to cook his own food. We are providing all that is necessary to feed him and to enable him to go to college. He is good with his health but he is lean.

She is doing well with her studies. She is living with Bro. Philip Timoti and his family as she does not have anyone else to go with. She has to have extra medicine, because she has extra needs and so we are supporting her.

She has been under Govt. provision of supply of medicine for ART.  She is doing well.  She has great love for her brother and as they both share same kind of sickness it is always good to be together to support one another.  She is interested to learn tailoring and would like to be a designer for women’s clothing and fabrication.

Beniya Prakash

He lives with his grandparents who are very poor and do not have a regular income and they do not have enough space also to accommodate so we have rented a small room adjoining to their grandparents house.  We are paying rent to that room for him and his sister Lavany to stay together along with their grandparents. He has a hearing problem and we have taken him to the doctor many times but it is gradual failure of hearing so they said there is no medication for his hearing loss. We have been praying for his health and especially for hearing loss. He has been a great support for his sister as he is growing big in size and also in age. He is very protective to his sister and supportive also. He is under medication from Govt., we supply the nutrition and also medication. As he is growing he is able to have stable health. He is OK with his health and trying hard to do his best in his studies.
